A friend was visiting from NYC who wanted to go skiing, so I cheerfully agreed to head up to Tahoe with him. But what a difference compared to last week.
Ten days ago at Northstar it was midwinter snow conditions, and this weekend it was classic spring skiing with corn snow, slush, and a little ice.
Having spent so many years on Vermont's surface, I actually tried to stick to the drier (but icier) parts of the mountain.
We had a good time.
