These are from a tubing park, and then a Japanese 'shabu shabu' restaurant which is sort of like an Asian broth fondue.

I didn't get any pictures of the kids in ski lessons unfortunately.  One of the days they did was terribly cold, windy, and snowy/sleeting -- they were real troopers to put up with that.  It was so tough that PCMR ended up shutting down the mountain by midday, contacting the parents for early pickups from ski schools, and even issuing 50% refunds on the tuition for that day.

Getting refunds from a ski company is like trying to play 'tug of war' with Blucher.

We went to a fun snow park yesterday. The kids even got to try riding mini snowmobiles. It's been a fun trip, but a bit warmer than we thought

Yesterday and today have been severely windy, enough so that they have shut down the mountain early both days, one at 2pm, the second at 11am.

At least today they gave us a 50% refund on the kids ski lessons, and they did get a half day in.

I spent a long time on a stalled out lift, getting pelted with hail. A tree had fallen and cut out the power to it.

This is from the Nevada side of Heavenly, where it snowed close to a foot during the day.

Needed to wear hand and toe warmers.

You can also see the first piece of 'new' ski gear - the white rimmed goggles I am wearing.

Those are actually J's that I'm borrowing, since my battered Scott's have finally worn out their frame after 15ish years.

Best conditions in many many years.
